The Prime Minister Visits Cooma Ahead of Snowy Hydro Drilling

The Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, Deputy Premier John Barilaro and Parliamentary Secretary Bronnie Taylor recently visited Cooma ahead of investigative drilling taking place for Snowy 2.0.

Snowy Hydro Limited CEO Paul Broad and Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation (SMEC) CEO Andy Goodwin provided their visitors with an update and showcased some of the equipment they will be using. The investigative drilling is set to commence this month and is key for the Snowy 2.0 feasibility study.

The Snowy 2.0 Feasibility study will be completed by the end of the year and will generate more than 250 jobs. If the Snowy 2.0 project goes ahead, it will create around 5000 jobs.
