I grew up playing on the white sandy beaches and riding horses through the bush and countryside of Ulladulla on the NSW south coast. In 2010 I moved from the laid back peaceful life style of the coast and country to the hustle and bustle of Sydney with my husband where he was serving in the army and stationed at Holsworthy barracks. Over seven years while living in Sydney I studied nursing, worked night shifts in a range of different health care facilities whilst also raising my two young daughters. My love of the snow and the mountains was sparked as a teenager when attending school camps in the snowy mountain region and once my own children were old enough, I would regularly take them every winter to the ski resorts for our annual family holidays. This is where my passion for all things snow and mountains bubbled up inside and as a family, we found it harder and harder to stay away from the serene lifestyle of the mountains. In early 2017 we relocated from Sydney to the snowy mountains town of Jindabyne. My husband now works from home and I have just completed my Australian Ski Patrol Association qualification enabling me to combine both my passion for the snow and outdoors, and my love of helping others together as I prepare to work my first season as a ski patroller for Charlotte Pass snow resort.

Hi, my name is Jayme, I’ve grown up in Queensland and travelled the country. I’ve enjoyed Surfing, wake boarding and snowboarding as a teenager and I’m looking for a career where I can travel domestically and internationally, spread my horizons and enhance my skills. I am a very active person and the alpine industry will provide me with the opportunity to stay fit, learn a wide variety of skills and prepare me for career options that I haven’t even thought of yet. I am a hard worker, passionate and will take on any challenges that present themselves.

My career in the winter sports industry began in 2011 when I was 28. I left the UK for my first working holiday experience in Whistler. It was the start of something great, but it was not until I began working as a Ski Technician for a company called ‘Snow & Rock’ that I discovered my talent for fixing/repairing ski’s and snowboards. Since then I have spent 5 seasons working for the Charlotte Pass Snow Resort in NSW and I have loved every minute of it. I know this is what I want from a career and I want it all. My passion for the industry is so great that I just want to excel in every field. Thus, expanding my knowledge and experience so that I can successfully place myself in any role. Hopefully one day becoming my own boss, director or even a CEO.
